Fancy Flats: My Top Picks

I am not a heel wearer. Unless it’s a very, very fancy wedding. I want to have too nice a time to be restricted by sore feet. My ankles also have a wobbly weakness which means they are liable to collapse at any moment. If they collapse whilst I am wearing heels I tend to start running in an attempt to try to manage the increase in motion, which generally results in hitting the floor with added force and speed. Boo to heels.

Flats shoes have never been more wonderful. The trainer is no longer relegated to gym shoe, now you can prance to work in a pair of white lace ups. But whilst the trainer is all simplicity, practicality and comfort- the fancy flat is a whole other story. If you like wearing lots of colour and print, the fancy flat, like the massive earring (see my favourites of those here) adds a final fabulous flourish. If your feeling dress down Friday in your breton and jeans BAM whack on a fancy flat and you’re looking rocking. They come in velvet, leopard print, fur lined, with feathers, covered in sequins…

I’m getting a bit flustered with all the joy.
